I was looking for a saw that approached the quality of a professional-level machine, since it became evident as I attempted to smart up after Hurricane Ike that my shrimp gas and electric homeowner saws were not up to the task. I selected the DCS510-18 because it was avaiable through Prime, touted its crude vibration and high power-to-weight ratio, and it was branded by Makita. I knew the quality of their products, but wasn't aware of Makita making non-electric power tools. I gambled to an extent that they would not tarnish their heed by selling subpar products, even if manufactured by others.

The saw lives up to the power and vibration promises, and is almost fair in its appearance, like one would describe a chainsaw made by BMW. I found that German elegance was not a fake impression in the very useful first review written for this saw. I'm writing my believe review as noteworthy to praise that first reviewer for the very useful information he provided as to address the quality of the Makita chainsaw. He identified the trusty manufacturer and model number, and provided some very useful suggestions - which I have followed - to optimize the saw's operation.

I have had this unit for several months but did not really do it to maximum utilize until this past week. For a two thousand mile, eight city journey, it worked flawlessly. I did learn I need to set aside in my preferences. After that I was one contented traveler. Pulling into a north Chicago suburb tedious at night without a room reservation, I tried the points of interest feature for the first time. I selected a motel, it took me straight there without having drive forever looking or reading a scheme at night. This unit more than paid for itself on this one hobble. Another feature I liked was pulling off the road and driving into a town I was not familiar with. After looking around for a while, I switched the unit befriend on, it replotted my route and got me out of town and on my draw in no time. I am buying a unit for my wife and one for my daughter. These are no longer toys but a have to have for safety and convenience.

Perfect, the cloak is wide enough for me to read ( I like to read and listen) not limited like one of the Garmin GPS, I received it a few days ago, residence up was easy as 1-2-3 no comp. downloads, it was ready to go. I crooked it up and arrived at my residence perfectly. I did not exhaust the remote because I was driving alone, but I am determined it is a useful addition. GO WHISTLER

The unit is overall OK, but it takes a very long time every time you turn it on to hold up a signal and you can miss indispensable turns. I suggest another impress!

This is a wonderful all around HDTV in the 26" size-range that I had to have for my smallish entertainment cabinet. The DTV & HDTV characterize quality (via Comcast Cable "out of the wall" no set-top box) is very top-notch, particularly for the impress.

My only Gargantuan disappointment was the audio output options; the ONLY one available is a Digital Audio coaxial output. Since I'm using this as my valuable TV, connected to a Home Theater system for improved audio, this is a major CON for me. The only contrivance I can output analog audio is to route everything thru a clunky Cable set-top box (which I didn't otherwise want or need) that DOES have an analog output. Then I discovered that changing from "out of the wall" cable to the basic cable set-top box automatically converts all previously available digital TV signals benefit to analog!! Since I'm not willing to add to my already sky-high monthly cable bill to upgrade to all-HDTV programing & set-top box, I'll be bewitching this TV to a bedroom (where the TV speakers will be shapely) and getting another label that has all the audio and video inputs AND outputs that I need.

This a perfect example of not doing enough homework before a major win (which I really understanding I had done) . I verified all the fresh "hi-tech" connections, but the typical analog (left/right, red/white) audio output seemed so favorite that I didn't even reflect to check for it. I honest assumed it would be there. Hope this helps someone else avoid an inconvenient and expensive oversight.

This TV had very uncouth volume even for a regular size bedroom. The spec said it have dual 5 watts output but I know it's volume is lower than my mono 3 watts 13 hump TV. I exchanged first position thinking maybe a defect, but the second residence is same gross audio. I have above average hearing smooth had hard time to hear. I returned for other tag which I have no quandary what so ever. I gave 2 stars only for nice recount but not wrose to occupy!!

I bought the Makita HP2010N serve in 1990 and unexcited have and exhaust it today. The ½"chuck is very safe and when properly tightened, never seems to let the bit hasten even under heavy hammering in masonry. This hammerdrill is heavier than the others I currently possess and although it has a ¾" masonry capacity, it is slightly slower to complete holes when drilling in hardened concrete, mostly due to the lower impact of the Makita's hammer mechanism. Because of this, I utilize it mainly for drilling in hollow concrete block, hard wooden beams or metal, where this drill really excels. I wouldn't recommend it for heavy masonry drilling. A rotary hammer is usually a better choice for that type of work, but a hammerdrill such as this one can also do the job satisfactorily sometimes.
The HP2010N is a very rugged and well made tool. During almost twelve years of very hard, on the job expend, the only repairs made have been to replace a obsolete out trigger switch, brushes (due to normal wear) and a damaged power cord.
I would definitely recommend this tool for anyone who is looking for a very durable, long lasting hammerdrill that will only occasionally be extinct for drilling in masonry.

I have traditional makita hp2010n for mixing thinsets and grouts for over 20 years. I have only gone thru 3 of them. The weight is not as terrible as other large drills I have broken-down,(and those I gave away) .I was talked into buying a lighter model the 2050. I customary it for the last 2 years, when when my third 2010 burned up. Somewhat of a mistake, not enough power, and Today april 18th 2009, it died after 2 short years.I'm buying my forth hp2010n on line accurate now. One thing it and simular hammer/drills of this type can't do is be a exact hammer drill, they are all to humdrum. So win a hammer drill that takes sds bits etc.I have bosch and makita sds hammer drills they work expansive. As far as mixing thinsets, grouts for tiling and regular drilling with colossal power, I haven't found anything on the market I like better. Oh yeah and 5,6,7 days a week for 7 years each. Well you do the math.

This is an well-behaved ceiling fan. It runs very quietly, and is easily controlled by the included remote control. I was particularly impressed by the installation. I was mounting this on a sloped ceiling, and fan comes with everything needed to do that, although I did order an extension rod (it comes with a 6-inch extension) to lower it somewhat. You do have to be obvious that you have a solid mounting for this heavy fan. Fortunately, the electrical box that I was mounting to was already configured for a ceiling fan. At the ceiling, the mounting shroud is in two pieces split about 3/4. You effect the larger share, then when you're ready for the electrical connections, you prefer the fan in position (have some befriend available - it's heavy!) and plot the ball kill of the extension rod into the mount. It holds it securely, and allows you to proceed the fan around as primary. When you're done, you simply screw the last fragment of the mount cloak in station.

The accurate assembly of the fan and blases was very composed also.

I am dazzled by the performance of this spacious box!

Pros: Expansive relate, sleek styling, spacious tag for a 37".

Cons: Menus are a bit cumbersome to exhaust and takes a learning curve. Most of the features need to be accessed from the menu (They dont have an easy button on the remote to choose the characterize mode or sound mode) . Remote is mediocre, with only most current buttons.

You forgo some of the more advanced features, such as 1080P resolution, 120hz refresh, LED-backlighting and a third HDMI input. Picture: After setting up this TV the first source I viewed was over-the-air network HD programming - specifically CBS. I noticed instantly that the color detail is not smart. Skin tones perceive a runt like "water color," almost cartoon-like in definite situations. Reds are a slight over-done as well, they seem to leap off the shroud. The colors are very vibrant, but images objective scrutinize a bit less realistic than on my Samsung. It isn't as noticeable in SD sources, such as DVDs, and the best quality HD programming seems to gaze better too. Otherwise pictures are orderly lively and positive. I am very enthusiastic to study how HD cable channels gape once I obtain my HD receiver.

Black levels are superior as long as you hold the brightness level down - I support mine space at 54, with backlight at 86, and the record is detached very luminous with nice blacks.

I net the DynaLight feature to be useless. Essentially it turns the backlight down on darker scenes to obtain the blacks deeper, but the result is a noticeably dimmer describe. I have never been a fan of dynamic backlighting on any TV, and the Toshiba is very tiring, to adjust, making it quite annoying. I shut mine off, no vast deal.

Sound: Sound is not titanic, but not unpleasant. I utilize a stereo receiver so that isn't a dilemma. The variable audio output allows you to control the volume through your TV even when a receiver is connected.

I have never noticed the buzzing sound that others mention.

Stand: The stand is more than adequate for most situations. My parents have a 26" Toshiba and it uses the same size stand, so it may be a bit microscopic. However, it would buy quite a bit of force to tip the TV over. I'm not frightened.

Other features: The theater-wide settings are useful for many situations, especially expanding SD sources without distorting the center of the record. As notorious above the DynaLight feature is really useless, but this goes for any label with dynamic backlight. Objective turn it off.

The best advice is to recognize at this TV in person with an HD source connected. For the notice it is a vast deal on a name-brand design. In many ways it out-performs the cheaper brands. In a few categories, however, it falls late.

Over the past 40 years, I've either owned or regularly old about 10 different brands and types of bikeracks. While I can't give this rack five stars due to one minor jam, it is by far the best bikerack I've ever primitive or even heard about. I have it on the aid of a 2006 Scion xA. That's really a minor jam, I figured I'll do this once and then never travel them again.

Everything else in the installation is a snap. Everything is well-engineered, and you'll derive lots of shrimp details where Thule's experience and engineering expertise present - many incremental improvements over earlier Thule racks.

If I had to give this rack a grade using the US grading system, I'd give it an A-. I would give most of the other Thule and Yakima racks a solid B or B-, and some of them, like our Softride rack, a C+. And I was handsome tickled with my Thule rack before, so this rack really raises the bar.

Final impression: best bikerack ever, if you fair need to carry 3 bikes. Highly recommended, and worth getting a trailer hitch do on your car fair so you can exhaust it.
